I first discovered Substate under the 8-bit dubstep alias "SyntheticAesthetics" and he showed off some serious skills with limited synthesis and after hearing his newer stuff as Substate, I remixed one of his tracks from his latest EP on Mutated Sounds entitled "Panic Button". This also shown how much he had progressed in production as well as composition and he had offered to remix Mesmerise around the same time as Eyelander, so I thought it would be a great decision to let him do it... and damn was I right!
